However, I seem to remember scraping off as much as possible with my father's screwdriver and probably took the bill in the house, finishing the scraping with my mother's butter knife. Now I know that there's a lot more to getting published than that, but it inspires me and gives me confidence as I slog through my first fiction manuscript.
